Senior Software Engineer – UniCore Technology (UCT)

At MSAB, we’re building the foundational technology that powers the future of mobile forensics and data extraction for law enforcement and intelligence agencies worldwide. Our UniCore Technology (UCT) team is at the very heart of this mission, and we’re looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to help shape what comes next.

What you’ll be doing

- Designing and implementing core components that will be used for years to come
- Working across the entire stack – from low-level system code to modern web frontends - Collaborating closely with a small, high-trust team of talented engineers
- Influencing architecture, tooling, and engineering culture

We’d love to meet you if you
- Treat programming languages as tools, not tribes – our stack is primarily C/C++/C# with TypeScript for web
- Have strong opinions about what “good code” looks like: simple, readable, performant, and maintainable
- Enjoy solving hard, real-world problems that actually matter

Bonus points if you bring experience with
- CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices
- Distributed systems (concurrency, fault tolerance, resilience)
- Cryptology and cryptographic protocols
- Protocol Buffers and gRPC
- Deep Windows and/or Linux systems knowledge

Who you are
- Senior-level expertise in C/C++ and/or C# (we care more about depth than years)
- Self-driven, pragmatic, and low-ego
- Excited by the idea of owning significant parts of a critical codebase
- Eligible to work in Sweden
