MSAB is seeking a skilled Build Engineer to join our Build & Deploy team. This team is responsible for continuously packaging MSAB software in the formats that our customers demand. This includes both classical formats such as Windows-installers, and modern distribution mechanisms such as docker-images and Terraform configurations. Additionally, the team manages, configures, and maintains our CI/CD platform, TeamCity.

Our CI/CD environment is complex, with numerous dependencies across software projects that require careful oversight and management. To thrive in this role, you should have strong logical reasoning skills and excellent written and verbal communication abilities, particularly when collaborating with developers and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Create, modify and troubleshoot MSI-packages for key MSAB products
• Collaborate with development teams to create, modify, monitor and troubleshoot CI/CD-projects for automatically building MSAB products
• Practically execute the MSAB release process in cooperation with our release manager

Qualification requirements

• Relevant post-secondary education within Tech (B.Sc, KY, etc.)
• Knowledge and practical experience with PowerShell and Python
• Experience working with CI/CD platforms (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, etc.)
• Experience with Git and similar developer tooling
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Highly Meritorious

• Deep knowledge of Git
• Experience with InstallShield and MSI packaging
• Experience with TeamCity
• Experience with CI/CD for C++ (e.g., VCPKG, etc.)
• Experience with CI/CD for .NET (e.g., NuGet, etc.)
• Interest and experience in agile leadership roles such as Scrum Master or Kanban facilitator
